This is the third Sunday of Lent already. How are you doing with your Lent challenge so far? Has it been difficult to put down that remote control or cell phone to make some time to bring your family closer to God? I am sure it has. We live in a non-stop, go, go, life. But only through God’s grace do we get through it all! That is why this beautiful season of Lent is so special. Lent offers us such an amazing gift to stop what we are doing, reflect on what we should be doing, and restore our lives. Don’t give up, don’t stop trying. Let us continue to strive for 15 to 30 minutes a day to put down those things that take us away and instead pick up a new habit that will lead our families closer to God. It could be something as simple as reading the Bible together or finding a new devotion for the family. Ask for God’s grace as you continue to look for the right fit for your family this Lenten season.

Dear Lord, we thank You for our family. Help us to think less about the things we want and more about what You want for us. Give us the strength we need to do Your will. Fill us with Your grace and make us new. Amen
